Drone Cinematography Masterclass
DESCRIPTION
When used effectively, Drone Cinematography enables creative professionals to enrich their storytelling capacity by providing them with a unique visual perspective. Applying the fundamental principles of cinematography to aerial drone cinematography can transform a visually appealing film to a powerful audiovisual story that will stay with the viewer for a long time.
This masterclass covers all stages from pre-production to post- production, and the delivery of the final product. A step-by-step theoretical and practical training approach is adopted, sharing international expertise about advanced film making techniques, planning and organising your aerial shoot, workflow and data management and much more.
The course culminates (Day 2) in a demonstration of a real-life drone cinematography scenario, which can be used by students as reference case for future professional use.
The Drone Cinematography Masterclass is being organised under the flagship of the World UAV Federation, which is the leading organisation representing and serving the global drone industry.

This masterclass is designed for professionals, namely drone cinematographers, drone videographers, filmmakers and other creative professionals who are eager to advance their craft, as well as for aficionados looking to make the transition to professional drone cinematography. It is also ideal for certified UAS pilots seeking to have a career in the Media & Film industry, journalists, freelance photographers, TV crews and operators that use drones in their daily work routine.

for Professional Filmmaking Projects. - Demonstrate a real-life Drone Cinematography scenario (from start to finish),
used by students as a reference case for future professional filmmaking
projects.

CERTIFICATION
All graduates will receive a World UAV Federation (WUAVF) Certificate of Completion, and a GOLD annual membership card.
INSTRUCTOR
Moris Gkormezanos is a freelance cinematographer and photographer. He holds a BSc in Film and Television Production from the University of York, UK. Moris has trained and worked as a camera assistant on various feature film productions, including Roza of Smyrna (2016) and Jamaica (2017), and as a camera trainee on the team of acclaimed director of photography Woo-Hyung Kim on the BBC-AMC co-production, The Little Drummer Girl (2018). Moris’ work as a cinematographer and camera operator consists of narrative short films, documentary series such as Parallel Lives (2018-2019) for the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT 2), and promotional corporate films for a diverse client base. His professional background and passion for powerful visual storytelling and aerial drone filming, led to his appointment as the Drone Cinematography Advisor of the Hellenic Chapter of the World UAV Federation.

The duration of the Drone Cinematography Masterclass is 2 days, including 16 training sessions.
